I m 49 years old. I have been diagnosed with DIFFUSED BILATERAL THYROID PARENCHYMAL DISEASE with CALCIFICATION in the RIGHT. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here are my ULTRASOUND RESULTS: Right Lobe: 54 x 33 x 29 mm (LWT) Left Lobe: 50 x 23 x 26 mm (LWT) Both thyroid lobes are diffusely coarsened and heterogeneous with LOBULAR EXTERNAL OUTLINE. Calcification seen in the inferior pole of the right lobe measuring 3.2 mm. Isthmus is intact with a thickness of 12 mm. Adjacent structures appear UNREMARKABLE. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I experience some joint pains as well as shooting pain on my lower leg. WHAT does this mean, is this related with this disease?
Hi I DID Review your concern. your problem can be related to thyroid or due to a back ache. Can you please upload the status of your thyroid hormones-TSH,T3 and T4, since that will be a good indicator of how your thyroid is doing. Also if needed a needle aspiration cytology from the calcified area may be needed to rule out any suspicious growth. I hope this helps Wish you a healthy life ahead.
